I would like to read the names of players from the different regions..position and pitchers. Break them down by region: Provide information if possible.

    North
    Northwest
    Charlotte area
    Winston Salem area
    Raleigh area
    Southeast
    East
Other areas- if I happened to miss one

I find myself knowing less and less players, so this will certainly help me out in who to go see play.

A few players you could keep an eye on are rising seniors Michael Vaughn and Zach Turton and junior Adam Waters of Hopewell HS in northern Mecklenburg county.

Vaughn, a 6'2" 215 lb C/1B/P/3B, lead Hopewell in seven offensive catagories this past season (hit .478 with 7 HRs & only 7 strikeouts & had 37 RBIs) and had a 4 win, 0 loss, 4 save pitching record and a 1.91 ERA. He was named Hopewell's Offensive MVP, MECA 6 All-Conference, 2nd Team All-Mecklenburg County, Charlotte Observer's Lake Norman Area Player of the Year, and was named to Region 6 for the State Games.

Turton is a very athletic 6'3" 175 lb OF/P/MIF. Played centerfield for Hopewell and also played for Region 6 in the State Games. Lead Hopewell in stolen bases. Vaughn had a break out type year this past season and Turton was close as he had several big games, including one where he stole Home for the winning run, and could be set for the same type thing this coming season.

You might also keep an eye out for Adam Waters. A 6'0" 175 lb 3B/P. Adam pitched well for Hopewell as a Soph with a 3 win, 1 loss, 3 win pitching record. Adam was All-Conference as a Freshman but didn't have the kind of Soph year he was expecting. If he comes back ready to play, he could be a good one.

Good names to watch for. I've been following Michael Vaughn since he was a freshman. I was very proud of what he accomplished last year.

Brian Rhino is a rising JR at Cary HS. Rhino's got the bloodlines, that's for sure. His uncle is Randy Rhino (Hall of Famer down at GT, football player) and his dad played baseball at South Carolina. He's still raw but has the potential to be something very, very good at CHS. As a sophomore, he started out on JV and moved up to Varsity where he started in LF for the Imps late in the season.

And of course, you gotta keep an eye on those North Lenoir boys. They've won back to back State Championships on the 2A level and I believe the bulk of their team is back for one more year. Sthil Sowers is there #1 guy, and he will be a force next season.

    not sure but

don't know what class these guys are, but sounds inpressive:

Corey Thompson of Apex and Mac Williamson of Wake Forest-Rolesville have been invited to participate in tryouts for the U.S. Junior National baseball team.
The U.S. junior team will play in the COPABE "AA" Youth Pan American Championships in Barquisimeto, Venezuela, from Aug. 4-13.
Thompson, a third baseman, and Williamson, a catcher, earned their invitations while playing with the North Wake County Baseball team in the USA Junior Olympics East Coast Regional in Jupiter, Fla.
Thompson hit .458 and Williamson hit .400 as the North Wake team finished 4-3 in the 72-team event. Eighteen players were chosen from the East regional and 18 from the West. Those 36 players will go to Jupiter, Fla., for the junior national team tryouts.

    Thompson at Apex real deal

I don't know about the other kid, but the Thompson kid at Apex is very, very good . . . has all the tools, hits well, fields well. . . an above average ball player.
Another kid worth mentioning while here is the Kidwell kid at Cary. I don't know much about the Rhino kid (didn't catch my eye), but Kidwell (2B) started all year and was one of the leading hitters.

Tom Girdwood, RHP, class 2007 at Myers Park High School.

Tom has only recently begun to focus in on his pitching. Good size body, about 6'2" and has always played football too. Never played on a showcase team. Velocity is 86 - 88 consistently. Also has a good slider. Two pitch pitcher with a "closer mentality". Already has beaten Providence High School in 2006 varsity competition in the SW4A, and most recently beat Pineville Post 337 in legion baseball this summer. Plenty of potential.
