Who "SHOWED UP" at the State Games tryouts Region 6

    What MECA-8 players really showed up at the State Games region 6 tryouts?

    I heard that Cavasini showed his fielding ability at second base, and hit well also.

    I also heard that Keesee which has been in the paper alot lately showed up with everything he had. Hitting out three and fielding with or better than the rest of the SS.

    The shortstop from Kannapolis also showed his hitting ablility putting out 2.

    Farry didnt show well at the plate but he showed his confidence at first base picking everthing out of the dirt that was thrown.

    These are the only players from the MECA-8 that I saw "show up" at the Region 6 State games Tryouts. Please inform me of the others. Thank you

    Woodall, the catcher, from Hopewell looked good. He hit one out and caught very well.

    I'm glad to hear the Kannapolis shortstop did well in the tryouts. His name is Brett Bartles (a junior) and he's been hitting the ball well all season, he's our leadoff batter but he also has 5 HR's (I believe). Defensively, he plays a very nice shortstop with good range and a very good arm too... The main thing, he's got his head "on straight", he's a good guy...

    Brett is also #1 in grades in his junior class, i believe he has been recieving letters from clemson, sc, etc. also heard that a guy from DUKE was asking about him at state games...thats how smart he is
