    Impact Roster Qeustion

Why do they list Josh Thrailkill on their roster if he is playing with the Midland Redskins? Also, has Alex White played any with them? He is also listed but I haven't seen him at a showcase yet.

There was some discussion during the summer about Josh playing for Impact in the fall, but he decided to take some time off instead and will play for Midland in Jupiter. I'm sure Andy will update his roster before the tournament begins.

some good PAC-6 Players for 06...

I hope I have not neglected anybody, but here are some that stand out to me as 06 players... All are not only very good players, but have excellent character as well.

Daniel Benner (INF) - Riverside - Very solid player, excellent hands, every good range.
Matt Tofaletti (RHP/INF) -Riverside - Another very solid player, good stick, good hands.
Seth Moorman - (C) - Riverside - Excellent hitter has power, very solid defensively, good arm, consistent, and a solid leader.
Jordan Parker - (OF) - Northern Durham - quick outfielder, pesky hitter but very solid, also QB on the Football team there.
Brandon Cuthrell - (OF) - Northern Durham - Very solid outfielder.
Tarron Robinson - (LHP) - Chapel Hill - likes to mix pitches, spots pitches well, very solid pitcher, 2 time all-conference player.
Robbie Byrd (RHP/OF/INF)- Person - Excellent bat, quick hands strong arm, in my opion, a 5-tool player.
Jerrod Moore- (RHP/INF) - Person - Excellent pitcher, spots pitches well, walks very few hitters and his career ERA is <2. Very solid infielder, can play any position on the infield. Solid hitter, was 2nd on team last year behind Byrd.

    under the gun

Is it just me ( my very first post) or can someone verify that this kid pitching for west henderson hi, caleb cuevas, senior right hander, is pitching like he's on a mission?! He's currently 2-0 in the wncfallball tournament held at McCormick field in Asheville. He is so far under the radar, i m ju\st wondering if any one has taken notice?

He transferred from TC Roberson last year as a Jr and platooned in leftfield. He pitched very well this fall for West and could be even better with a little work. He will be pushed this spring by underclassmen wich will make him even better. Like I have said before West will be very talented and deep with a very strong 07 and 08 class. They already have 5 all- conference players coming back plus Cuevas... And this is from a team that had a 24-3 record. He certainly will add depth to Coach Hyatt's team but more than likely he will be a #4 or #5 pitcher. Sure am glad to hear that he is doing well in the fall league... How are the other guys from West doing???

Cuevas has developed a new attitude about the game and is coming on. I disagree with recon somewhat in that if he continues to work hard over the winter he could be #1 on the staff. The last game he threw for me this fall he went 7 innings against a team from upstate SC, 0 runs, 1 hit, 1 bb, 6 k's. Threw mid 80's in that game with some tremendous movement on his fastball. He could develop into something special. Understand he had a very good workout at Pensacola Jr College a few weeks ago. I liked the attitude he had about the game this fall and hope he continues to do well. It will only make an already deep team that much better.

Mudcat you are right about the new attitude and work ethic but I didn't say that he would be the #1 starter. He has thrown great this fall for you and the other team but I still feel that he would still be a #3 or #4 pitcher...There is too much depth. .. Just look at all of the guys that pitched on jvs last year that will make a challange to pitch on varsity this year.. not to mention the 5 or 6 pitchers on varsity. But you are totally right, I like the new attitude and it can only help him for the future and help the team win the conference and beyond.

You didn't say he is the #1 starter, I said he could be. Well on his way. He has all the tools. Sure would have a super defense behind him with Dylewski, Moore, Pruitt, and Grant on the infield. Of course he might start on the infield this year anyway when not on the mound. It takes senior leadership to go deep in the playoffs, and WH needs him to be a big contributor. I expect nothing less of him.
