Seth Simmons does attend Calvary. He went to Wst Forsyth and then transferred to Calvary. He played legion ball this past summer to the Yadkin Co. Team.

From what I hear about South Meck. and from what I know about South Caldwell, these are the two teams that everyone should be watching. Each team is loaded with talent and college prospects.I wouldn't be surprised if these two teams meet up again at some point and might decide who the 2006 state champion is.What do you all think about that?

While South Meck is clearly reloading, the one team that is absolutely stocked with studs is Providence HS. Mauney, Scism, Mailman and co. are cream of the crop type kids. They will compete with anyone.

South Meck will start Morris, Layman and Andress on the mound. 3 seniors that have been in the wars. And when these two teams meet, that is exactly the way to describe their games....war

    South Caldwell

South Caldwell will be somewhat young, but definitely strong. The '07 Class is loaded. They went 42-3 this past year winning the N.W. 4-A J.V. Conference and the American Legion Junior Division State Championship.

Anyone have additional insight on South Caldwell?

    S.C. Class of 2007

TBA, you are correct, they should be strong. The '07 Class is an exceptional group with a lot of potential. They have accomplished a lot already. They have good chemistry, it will be interesting to see how it all shakes out when they are mixed back in with the '06 Class, who plays, who sits, etc.

It would be great to see them win a couple of N.C. 4A State Championships at the varsity level.

I can tell you that I have seen a lot of baseball players over the years, and have spoken to a few professional scouts that all believe the only way this kid will ever attend College is only if he wants to. I understand that his grades are very good (but it might just not matter):229031_ha

Great ballplayer....got to see him several times. Let's hope he does not get over used....at 15 he has already logged a lot of innings and pitches on his arm with High School and Legion. Hopefully he has some help this year and his Coach uses his talent wisely. Excellent future for this kid.
