16u. Saturday saw the Cabarrus County Mud Slingers play. They crushed the ball, defense looked good also. Noticed a few of the girls and coaches had on CC hats and helmets.

Casey is an awesome ball player. She plays with a lot of heart and desire. She is a great fit on that team. The Mud Slingers have some talented players.

I was impressed with the 16-U Bombshell pitcher (Alex Yohe), and I was impressed with her coaches.

We had one player hit one of the hardest balls I've ever seen hit. It went between the flagpole and the scoreboard on the college field. I just wish it had been over 10 more feet and hit the scoreboard. It was probably 30 feet above the fence when it went over. If you don't believe me, ask the Curve folks. We had another player hit a walk off 3 run homer to end that game.

    The Mudslingers!
I was most impressed with Alyssa Arnold, #2 on the Mudslingers.
She had alot of GREAT DIGS at 1st and creamed the ball 3 for 3 (line drives to the fence) in their Saturday game against the Blaze.

I am partial to this one......The Rowan Flames had a great tournament before the rain ended their weekend. They defeated two quality teams and lost to the Magic by 1-0 in extra innings @ the 8:30 game. Had many, many chances to put away the older team. We considered this one a win! I bet Jim Allen felt like it was a loss. Yes, he does have a great team! I give props to a 12u team moving up playing hard against an older 14u getting ready to move up to 16u.

    My 2 cents
