    Some people were trying to spread rumors that Baker was thinking about transferring to Andrews... If he WAS, I reckon he isn't NOW! Not with all the crap that's going on over there. Looks like Ragsdale won't have to worry about poachers from Andrews for awhile.:lurking:

    Have'nt heard much about Hickory this off-season. What does the future look like now that Elder is gone? I remember some knock down drag out battles with you guys in the 90's. And I miss the FREE pizza in the press box at your place too! ;)

    I know what you mean, Tank! I miss the Mooresville game, too. Of course, we've got our hands full with Crest nowadays, but Mooresville encounters were always exciting. And the Dominoes is still great!

    As for the future, we've all been keeping a low profile while the dust settles. It still hasn't completely settled, but the team is doing very well. Believe me, the players are 100% united behind new head coach John Worley. The staff remains intact, too. The rising seniors have really stepped up and taken control, providing leadership and leading the way in the weight room, etc. We'll have a new quarterback for the first time since 2000. But he's a genuine leader. Name is Chris Rogers and he is also a returning starter at strong safety. The seniors, too, are a hard-nosed and aggressive group, which is very good. The rising juniors are also laden with talent. In fact, this group of juniors and seniors were 10-0 on JV as freshmen and sophomores in 2001. Last years' JV went 9-1 (5-point loss to Crest on the road).

    Remember the '97 Hickory-Mooresville game? Well, the 2003 Tornadoes will look a LOT like our '97 team (12-1).

    we are basically a basketball school but football has had some good teams the past few years.

    Not sure why Norwood waited until half through the 4th quarter to start throwing the damn ball.

    Me either...The Tigers had some serious weapons this past season. We had'nt seen anything like them in some time. I can still picture Pope throwing deep bombs on us and there was nothing we could do about it. I hate to think about what could have happened if they had been awarded that final onsides kick :( .

    I also still remember that beating yall gave us at our place two years ago, kept us from going to the Hill. You got our respect. Also knocked us out of the state play offs in soccer and volleyball this past season.
