Why is one bat hotter than another?.....

    C'Mon TBR honks, lay the lumber for us here ....haha!

    Is it the double wall, or the the ricochet effect, or what the bat is made of?

    How about how a kid uses the bat?

    When is a bat too big or too small?

    Does the kid need to work on bat speed or rely on extra pop, or both, or none or all of the above?

    FISHMAN, GOOD QUESTION

    It has to do with the amount of aluminum-alloy mass spaced between the hanch of the bat tip and the sweetspot. Also critical is the slope angle of cone measured from the tip to the haunch. The diameter of the handle has nothing to do with it. Diameter of handle should be selected to be comfortable for the hitter, that's all. All this is for aluminum bats, not wood. For wood, the physics are entirely different. Hope this helps,
