WHY IS THE SO CALLED "SOFTBALL FAMILY" SO DISFUNCTIONAL???

I love and appreciate your enthusiasm in your attempt to fix something that you believe is broken.

Simple concept...Think how "FUN" our sport would be if everyone was of the same ability and viewed as equal. It would not matter how hard you worked, or how much extra time you put in, or how lazy you were in your preparation.......

All the pitchers would be lights out... no one would ever get a hit,
but then again, all the hitters would never make an out.
What a perfect world...................

But the world is not perfect.
There is always gonna be someone stronger, bigger, smarter, taller, shorter, better looking, etc........ same applies in our sport.

The root cause for something can usually be found from within. You speak of honesty in your statements above: are you being truely honest?

Be accountable for your own actions or lack of them..... Hopefully that will give you some PEACE....and determination to overcome these barriers you believe exist..

Is it just me, or is this thread getting a tad bit CREEPY?????

(There's safety in numbers....I side with the "softball family"....but don't tell anyone!)

 

This thread has really taken a turn or two, but there also has been some great replies as well.

I may be wrong, but it appears the original post on this thread was a personal bad experience... certainly not one experienced by most. I believe that every obstacle thrown before you is an opportunity to learn, motivate and overcome that obstacle... "Life lessons" as one has said.

One thing I have learned at TBR is there are a lot of great posters here...with a wealth of experience and more important; they are willing to share their experiences. If someone is having a particular problem with any phase of softball--from coaches, playing time, mentoring, teams available, pitching/batting coaches, drills, etc, etc.....then ask a question and someone will point you in the right direction. But if one is going to indict our members, I doubt if you will be welcomed with open arms.

Again everyone wants to say that I am not being honest because I will not state specifics!!! It is like I'm trapped in my english class passing notes back and forth, except to the person the notes are about!!!
The INTENT of this thread was to get people (all people) involved in the softball family to THINK ABOUT HOW YOU TREAT OTHER PEOPLE!!! It is that SIMPLE!!!
Not pointing fingers, not naming names, not giving specific details! Just thought I would use a source that I knew a lot of readers and posters use (TBR) To Hopefully get people thinking!!

OH YEAH and you should always be careful what you say in public places, you never know who may overhear!!!!!
And so far the replies I have gotten are very defensive as if I have named one of your Best Friends. How do you know that the situation I am discussing didn't deal with you or yours?

 

Well..you did not use the word "suck", but it is one word that is used to describe the people you mentioned.

 

Not sure who this was addressed to, but I haven't read any reply that one should be embarrassed about.

This has been an interesting thread and I thought, based on your original post, that you were serious...now, you are all over the place with your posts and talking in circles. It's hard to give good feedback

 

I am not all over the place I am the same place now that I was when I started this thread. People (all people) should think about how they treat others!

No one said that anyone should be emarrassed about any replies. Please just keep to the subject at hand. Think before speaking or acting. Is this what I really want to do? Is this really what I want to say?
Remember the ultimate judge is GOD and he can see all, hear all!!!

 

You started this thread with questions..you are ending it preaching. So, I don't think you really had a question in the first place...you just wanted to vent and were not seeking answers. You, apparently, have your own answers.

I believe this thread has reached it's end. There is nothing new to add that hasn't already been mentioned.
