    planned, or unplanned?

Unplanned was late 90s, I wanna say Bears/Saints, and there was a return that sailed into the endzone. The returner didn't touch it at first, then grabbed it and didn't run. Both teams' units started to run off the field, and apparently it dawned on the dumbass that he could run. That and about fifty different last-second play with multiple laterals.

Unplanned: The last second touchdown that the New Orleans Saints against the Jax Jaguars in 2003... Saints basically pull off the ole Cal miracle against Stanford in 82 with a play that looked like rugby instead of football. Dramatic score, but blow it when they missed the extra point... :banginghe

Planned: The hail mary play LSU beat Kentucky with earlier that same year. LSU is down 30-27 with three seconds remaining until the LSU quarterback throws a bomb...It hits off the shoulder pads of a Kentucky defensive back and into the hands of an LSU wide receiver who races in for the touchdown.

Funny thing about that play...Once the ball was thrown, the Kentucky fans storm the field and start to dismantle the goalposts. They didnt realize that on the other end of the field, the other team caught a brilliant pass and scored the winning touchdown....Amazing. :wtf23:

NC4A title game in Chapel Hill in either '91 or '92. I think it was Richmond County against West Forsyth. QB from RC cranks up a Hail Mary as time expires, the ball goes off a WF helmet into the arms of a senior RC WR making his first, last, and only high school reception.

Someone called into Packer's show Friday with the same story. I bet that guy could have walked on water after that play.

Marshall at Western Carolina in early 80's. This may not be the wildest, but it sure was funny.

Western Kicks off to Marshall. The Marshall runner gets blasted at the 5 yard line and his helmet flies off and rolls into the end zone. One of the Western defenders thinks the helmet is the football and jumps on the "ball" in the end zone thinking he had recovered the "fumble" for a TD!! He jumped up looking for someone to high-five but all the players from both teams and the refs were laughing soo hard they had to stop the game for a couple of minutes. This was a classic! :woohoo:

App St's last second win over Furman a couple of years ago. Furman scored to go up by 1 with less than 10 seconds left. Instead of kicking the extra point they went for two to get a three point margin. App intercepted the pass attempt and the linebacker latereled to a db who went the distance for two points and a win for the Mountaineers. Last season when Furman played in Boone they showed the play on the video board while Furman was doing their warmup exercises and the App fans went wild. You could see the Furman coaching staff look away and shake their heads.:woot: :woot: :woohoo: :woohoo:
