Its tough enough to have to go through something like this "I personally can not imagine it" but to have to do it with the burden of financial worry on top of it is too much to ask.

Its time for the baseball people to step up and show what we are really all about. I have been reading about Will for quite some time now. He has given us so much inspiration in the way he has dealt with and faced this situation.

So here I am challenging everyone of you.

I am donating 100.00 right now to Will's family to use any way they want to use it.

I would like for someone to start a 25.00 donation thread.
I would like for someone to start a 50.00 donation thread.

Here is how it will work.

When we reach 9 matching 100.00 donations we will have 1,000.00
When we reach 9 matching 50.00 donations we will have 500.00
When we reach 9 matching 25.00 donatons we will have 250.00

    Thats 30 people donating 1,750.00

Then someone WILL step up and donate the final 250.00 for a total of 2,000.00 for the Will Fund! And it doesnt have to stop there. That can just be the beginning. But its a start.

And Im telling you that is a drop in the bucket for what we ought to be doing for this courageous young man and his family.

WHO IS NEXT - LETS GO!

Braves get me a PO BOX or an Address my Cash will be in the mail Monday morning!

There is Power in the "Will" to make a difference. Its time we all started to act like we have half of what this young man does.

I'm waiting for Pete Hardee to post something. He is very close to the situation. I don't believe the family has anything set up other than for donations to be made for "caring bridge". I've got to post some of the things he has written to me. They are unbelievable. I'm telling you he is mature beyond his years. If you ask Pete, he will tell you that Will is like a coach....and each year Will is sounding more like Pete. He would NEVER EVER allow this disease defeat him. He would go to DC for another treatment and he would tell the Dr that if he couldn't do it in 4 hours...forget it. He's got to catch a plane to get back in time for practice...and he was never late.

He would fly to Minneapolis, take this medicine that would make him blind for 11 hours....fly back and be in uniform for the game that night. He never complains...he never whines...he never says "why me?". His whole life revolves around his team, his teammates, his family, his fiance and his friends. He has lived his life to the fullest and it would not surprise me that Will will continue to fight this dreadful disease to allow him to be ready for opening season, He is already campaigning to Coach Hardee to come in for relief opening night.

I lost a sister and my father to cancer and just found out a friend of mine's son, a freshman football player at NC A&T, has bone cancer in his leg. I was all excited because I am taking my 2 sons to the Liberty Bowl to watch ECU. While I am in Memphis, my friend gets to take his son to chemotherapy. That just sucks (for lack of a better term)!

I am in for $100 to help the family. Just let me know where to send the check. I will also send a donation in my sister and dad's name to cancer reseach, something I should have done a long time ago and something I should do annually.

had a great idea. He and I as well as some others here have been members on the High School Baseball Web for many years. We have some great friends on that site and the membership is enormous.

Pete if you can get the ok from the family to do it Dawgswood and I would love to take the Will Fund over to that site as well. Would you let us know , we would love to do it for the Will and the family.
