    The members on this board are incredible! Will is a special young man who is loved by alot of people. This fund can maybe take a little stress off this family during the holidays. I appreciate the baseball community rising to the occasion!! Will is a fighter. I watched him pitch 5 innings this summer when he was totally exhausted from treatments. I new he was totally exhausted when he let me take him out with no resistance. He was doing flat ground work during 8-mans right before this last setback. I know that if there is any way possible he will be at our first practice ready to go. Will has more toughness in his pinky finger than I have in my whole body!! Again I would like to thank the members of this board- What a first class group. My heart is touched more than you will ever know! You guys are heroes!!

    I received this from Will today:

    "im getting radiation for a tumor in my spine and also in my right pitching shoulder.... ive gotten two days of it and im feeling 100 percent better. Ill be back in boone in about a week and back on the mound in about a week and a day. I dont intend to hang up my cleats anytime soon. The day I stop pitching is the day the last drop of blood runs through my veins. Im ready to go. And I will be out there this season."

    I received a pm from a poster today. "You reach that goal of 1,750.00 and I have the last 250.00 to reach the goal."

    Just talked to the family about this situation and we have come to the conclusion that we want to contribute as well. So with that said, Coach 27 make us down for $100 !!!

    Kelly Stanley sent me a moving email about the loss he has had in his life from this dreaded disease. He is the father of Cody Stanley a catcher at UNCW and a heck of a young man. His younger son is Taylor Stanley who is a Jr at Clinton HS and is a terrific ball player himself. Thanks Kelly! Kelly doesnt post on this site but he reads it often and is a great supporter of sports in the Clinton area.

    thats already 825 today which is almost half that Coach 27 wanted to raise!!! This is awesome!

    Yes it is!

    We already have the final 250.00 pledged. We need some more folks to step up. I have no doubt that they will. I am betting that before everyone signs off tomorrow night we will be there!
