Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Tournament

    The Winston-Salem/Forsyth county Tournament begins Monday. The games are being held at East Forsyth and Reynolds High School.

    The play-in games took place this past week:

    Parkland: 14
    Atkins: 0

    Reagan: 8
    Carver: 6

    I think if any team besides North Forsyth wins this it'll be an upset.

    people have said that for the past 3 years running, but with north's team this year i gotta agree!!

    Yea, I agree about the past teams. They should've won but didn't for whatever reason. This year's team is nasty though.

    We have not had nearly enough information reported from the W/S area. With North Forsyth being one of the "Dream Teams", we would hope to get more reporting. C'mon Caroliner and NC-Dad, we need to hear more from you guys

    Monday's Games

    It rained quite a bit this morning but I just left Reynolds not too long ago and things look good. Sources also tell me that East Forsyth is fine as well. They should go on as scheduled.

    At Hanes Park (Reynolds High School)

    @ 4:30 #3 West Forsyth vs # 6 Reynolds
    @ 7:00 #1 North Forsyth vs #7 Parkland

    At East Forsyth High School

    @ 4:30 #4 East Forsyth vs #5 Mt. Tabor
    @ 7:00 #2 Glenn vs #8 Reagan

    Braves...I'll try to help with some of the East Forsyth stuff since my lil brother is there but I can't promise a lot b/c I'm at school my self and all I usually receive are the scores and such from my dad at the game but I'll try to keep up

    Also I'll try with some of the Glenn scores but usually kboy will take care of that

    Oh the memories of when that tournament was played at Glenn when it was a junior high school. At the time, I think it was the only school with a grass infield and lights. The infield itself was an adventure all by itself. There was a lip where the grass and the dirt in the infield met that would take your head off if the ball was hit just right. At a USSSA tournament a few years ago at Glenn the local parents told me the football stadium sits on what used to be the baseball field of the old junior high.
