    Wanted to share this wonderful story of West Meck honoring two moms on the team who are battling a terrible, terrible disease. This idea came from a member here at TBR. Tip of the cap. If you have stories like this, or know of any, I'd love to hear about them.

    Thanks for posting this LW. It serves as a reminder to our members that they should be helping to contribute.

    Great story. You did an outstanding job with it.

    Your heart goes out to the kids and their families. I hope they get an overflow crowd for this game. I hope next year someone can notify us sooner of this event so we can post it on the board. I'd like to see this become a sellout.

    God bless these families and their friends. Dontcha love it when a group of teenagers, in this case a ball team band together and do something positive.

    Lee County, 2 summers ago we had a player Garret Verilli, his mother passed away during the summer season from a cancerous tumor on her brain. Last season we had a cancer night in honor of her and made pink t-shirts and honored the family. This season we are having another cancer night 4/20/2011 and the team will wear pink socks and pink shoe laces.
