WOODEN BAT LEAGUE IN MONROE WITH LOCAL TALENT

    A wooden bat summer league team in now in Monore. The Monroe Channelcats will be playing in the SCBL. 1st game is May 30th Leage has 8 teams
    Monroe Channelcats
    Rock Hill Sox
    Ashville Redbirds
    Spartanburg Crickets
    Morgonton Aggies
    Tennessee Thunder
    Davidson Copperheads
    Carolina Choas
    20 Local college kids playing on the teams
    Monroe has 2 Lee Blaylock(Sun Valley) and a kid from Myers Park
    Rock Hill has about 10-15 kids from either Charlotte, Matthews or Gastonia.
    Monroe team is playing at Walter Bickett Stadium, Monroe HS field)
    Former Brave and Phillie Tommy Greene is the GM
    Games will be broadcasted on 1190 WIXE and www.wixe.com
    Admission is free!!!
    Friday and Saturday games are DOUBLE HEADDERS starting at 5:00
    Should be fun to see some local kids trying to impress scouts
    for the draft
