    That is true. My biggest memory from going was:

    2 falls ago we went down there... the Cary Bulls... we were coached by Coach Weatherspoon and we were a pretty good team. I mean, we had some guys from across the state who were real talented.

    We faced Baseball America in Game 1... we were kind of intimidated... because of course they were the favorites and they had won the year before, etc.... But a kid from Northern Nash (Jon Brunson) pitched and we lost a close game... like 2-1. We held a lead... it was awesome even though we didn't win. It felt good just to compete with guys you read about in magazines (Delmon Young was on that team for example).

    So go down there and play baseball. As soon as that first pitch is thrown... it's a brand new baseball game and the history is all in the books. Make your own history, and get your team photo on the poster for 2003 World Wood Bat Champs. Make NC proud.
