Looks like the On Deck O's and Charlotte Express will be heading down to the East Cobb Complex next week to participate in the World Wood Bat Senior Tournament.

It looks like the two teams will play on the same field, back to back, on Monday.

For a complete tournament listing go to www.worldwoodbat.com Click on "tournaments", then "Senior" July 7-13 and go from there. What a lineup of teams from across the country!!

SPD .... There are some great teams in this one ... from reports, the " 'Bama Bombers" are tough, as are the Central Florida Renegades, Team Florida and the Ohio Warhawks.

You guys are going to see some great baseball .... and I don't think East Cobb Baseball is allowed to actually "run" this tournament. Good luck to you guys and to the O's ..... have a good time.

obtw: I fixed your link ... you had an extra period it the link name

I think either of these teams can field and hit (especially wood bats) with any of the teams there. It's the pitching that has to hold up over a week long tournament. Each team is going to need at least 5 starters who can go 5-7 innings in each outing. That's tough!

it is probably too late to get involved this summer in some good baseball, but this fall and next spring, I am gonna pitch somewhere.
