You have seen them on ESPN, at the MLB All Star Game, and on ABC TV..
They hang out with Jennie Finch and the USA Women's Softball Team.....

The Durham County Sheriffs Department, Grand Slam USA and William Peace Softball are excited to welcome the the Wounded Warrior Amputee Softball Team to the Triangle.

The WWAST will be in the Triangle the weekend of Nov 1-3, attending the Wolfpack / Tarheel football game at Carter Finley Stadium..... Then 2 ball games at the Old Durham Athletic Park on Sunday..... Games start at 1200 noon..... Admission is free, $5.00 donation suggested.

The Wounded Warrior Amputee Softball Team visited Notre Dame last weekend, attending the Notre Dame / Oklahoma Football game and playing their ball games the next day at the Notre Dame softball complex...

This will be one of the most inspirational moments you will ever experience on a softball field or in the stands..

Local softball coaches participating in the event are Theresa Walker / Head Coach / NC Central, Coach Katie Grimes / Asst Coach NCSU, Bruce Cozart / Asst Coach, St Augs, Bethaney Wells / Asst Coach WPU, and many more.

Also scheduled to appear to play against the WWAST are USA National Team / Border Battle Team Members Rusty Bumgartner and Johnny McCraw.

Admissions is FREE.... Donation Suggested.... All monies raised go directly to the WWAST.
