    When is enough, enough?

Ok, the pressure of competition is getting a little out of hand. I was hanging around the concession stand last night watching everyone else get it ready for the upcoming game. I actually heard the “Queen of Baseball Concessions” say, we are not ready. South has their Pork Chop sandwich and we do not have our signature item yet and I heard Braves was coming. Again, things are getting out of hand. I can remember the good old days of a coke and seeds. That was all we needed to make a ball game complete!! I guess we are going to let South win the Concessions war and we’ll just win the game??? Hopefully!

Oh no...the games are very important, but we are talking about priorities. Look what happened to South Caldwell last year. Do you think that was because they had superior talent? It was the Pork Chops.

Concession Wars is a good thing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Let's don't belie the importance of a great concession to the success of a winning program :invasion:

One more thing, I received this from an excellent source. I have been told that Emo is a great chef. Perhaps he can whip up something between innings.

He does everthing else around the field, why not. I am not sure about his cooking but he was burning third base up last night!! It's great to see him back on the field. The rumor is we could see him on the mound this coming week. That would be big news for Watauga...

Kosher Concession Stand A Fixture At Lakewood, N.J., Stadium

Meeting the needs of a customer base is fundamental to the success of a concession. For years, food and beverage managers have catered to the tastes of Latino consumers, children and even vegetarians in an effort to build up a market.

A new baseball park in Lakewood, N.J., is going a step further: a kosher concession stand.

How does a facility address the strict dining laws of a group of customers? In this case they've done their best to meet them.

The stand, serves up a small menu: Large hot dog, $3; regular hot dog, $1.75; potato knish, $1.75; egg roll, $2.25; and canned and bottled soft drinks, $1.50. The prices compare with the stadium's "secular" stands, which have hot dogs for $2.75 and fountain soft drinks for $1.50.

"It's like every other stand we have but with an added touch, it has the approval of an orthodox rabbi," said Babula. In order for the operation to comply with Jewish dietary laws, the stand has a separate storage area, freezer space and hand-washing area for its two employees.

The stand will be watched carefully to gauge customer reaction. "It's our feeling that the stand's popularity will go beyond the Jewish community," said Manager Geoff Brown.

"If you have a taste for a knish or an egg roll at the game, you'll only be able to get one at this stand, which is why we think it will reach more than the orthodox fans," said Babula.

In addition to the kosher stand, they have introduced Mexican and Italian food stands, operated by local food vendors. "It helps to connect the fans to the facility when they can enjoy food they're familiar with," said Babula.

Let's see, they could add "sushi", "lamb" and "goat milk"...that should cover many ethnicity desires. Oh, and add "ziti". That place will be rocking and rolling now.

    Please be more specific

The Bosox look pretty good again. I think they could beat the mighty South Caldwell Spartans.
