    sc fan, believe Asheville is 1-1... win over Pisgah, loss to Brevard. Their new coach,(last year was year 1) has them headed in the right direction.

    I believe Asheville won over Pisgah 10-0 pitcher threw a no hitter. Second year coach does have program going in right direction. Hibriten should be better this year they have a strong junior class, very good hitting club. I hope these games are good tuneups for the boys from Boone.

    SC Fan is right about Asheville's record so far. Son plays SS/P for Asheville. Coach was at Duke for 5 years and does have the program going in the right direction, finally. He got them to the playoffs in his first season after 20 years of not making the playoffs. Starts only three seniors. Hitting has always been a weakness, but hard work and weight program has improved that area alot. If they can play good defense, they are a pretty good team. They did finish second to West Henderson in the fall league championship after beating ACR and TCR to get to the finals. I love that he put Foard(scrimmage), South Caldwell and West Henderson on his early schedule to prepare his team for conference play.

    watch out for the alexander central boys.
    they looked good against saint,
    and excellent against the then ranked in the top 5 providence panthers.
    although they lost to hickory, i think a pitching mistake was made.
    if they play there best, they will be pretty hard to beat.
