Could D.D be bracing herself when she slides?Flesh (tan) colored tape around the wrist could help with the pain and clicking, most people won't notice tan tape.

Yes, Purple Haze is right GET it checked and if a doctor tells you to rest it then do. Could be tendinitis from over hand throwing or pitching motion and if you ignore it and can become a more serious injury. It doesn't always mean the the mechanic's are wrong it could be over use.Think about it a pitcher throws over hand and under hand and there is no way you can teach to throw either way without flicking the wrist. Also make sure your DD listens to what her body is telling her. If it hurts stop right then. Good luck and make sure you do what the doctor said.

human nature to reach out to friends

its ok we all want advice from G public. regardless of your friends diags. or opinions or experiences, getting to a place like Duke is the thing to do. you know it, your friends know it, everybody knows it. growing bodies cannot be cloned into one exact hitting or pitching mech. hopefully no harm is in place. listen to the Doctor. he/she will boost power and stamina through excercizes geared just for her. rest for her and mom and dad will be part of it. play safe.

Don't discount a nerve problem. Ask about it. This is not as likely in softball compared to baseball, but it does happen. Nerve problems tend to be dismissed/mis-diagnosed as other things. If this happens, it can lead to permanent nerve damage. Be straight forward and ask your doctor about this.
