    Catch

That is a catch. The ground can not cause a fumble. :hurray:

If she had control of the ball before she hit the ground after two steps its a catch if she did not its not a catch. Just my 2 cents

    No Catch

According to the rule book a caught ball has to be voluntarily released from the glove. When she hit the ground and the ball comes loose that is not voluntary.

yeah, i think the only fumble that's allowed is when you're going to transfer the ball to your throwing hand.

Sounds like a great attempt by......

.....the SS, but given what you stated. "SS running and ball comes out of her glove" appears to me as a fantastic play by this kid to keep the ball in front of her AND if the ump calls the play "fair" then the batter is awarded with a base hit. Assuming that the opposing pitchers mom is not keeping the scorebook!........what?, what?......
