You Make The Call

Catcher Interference: Catcher impeded the batters opportunity to
bunt making contact with the batter during his attempt.

 

It looks like the right call depends on who you are pulling for. If you were there and the eye site is still with you the call was very easy to make. Catcher interference.

 

As I saw it, the catcher did not impede the hitter, he caught the pitch just above hitters left(rear) shoulder without contact, no catchers interference. I guess we will just have to agree to disagree since there is no way to change either of our minds. Best of luck to the Titans. We have several friends associated with their program and wish no ill will. We will play again in a few weeks, and it will be a tough game for us, facing their pitching staff on their field will be a tall order. I hope it is as exciting as the first game.

 

Did Hopewell get a bad call when Lake Norman and Myers Park beat yall?

 

The camera was aimed too high to see stretchy in this "meeting of the minds"

 

I am going to do my best to respond to this in a respectful manner because I was raised to have more class than to call somebody out over a forum board. Either way, batter interference or not, the runner was beat at the plate by 3 steps. They screwed the call up and put the runner BACK at third and he still did not score. Hopewell had 2 seperate chances to score with a runner on third and could not capitolize. That's not the umpires fault.
