home team is up to bat bottom of the 6th tied 3 to 3 runner on 2nd and 2 outs. The coach calls for the steal on steal on third. The runner makes it there safe by a head first dive that resulted in a hand full of dirt when they flung this dirt back in the ground the player was kicked off the team by the umpire.

I'm not sure what call you are asking about. I assume you mean ejected from game, not kicked off team.

But there is a fundamental rule--a holy grail one so to speak. You never make a decision that may result in third out at 3rd base. They are already in scoring position. It's not worth the risk.

There is not enough information to determine the call made by the umpire.

    ?

You are saying she was safe at third but then called out for throwing a handful of dirt down on the field?

I would say I bet there is more to this story than we've heard but I'm wondering if it might be a delayed dead dirt call.

Forgive me, I haven't gotten over being able to put a dead ball on life support, yet.
