    NCAA not sure.

    ASA and FED have a batter/runner interference with an uncaught third strike rule.

    FED is 8-2 ART.6 ASA not sure.

    FED casebook only has one situation, but it is when the b/r contacts the catcher making a play on the uncaught third strike.


    All rule sets the b/r may run anywhere, but if she interferes with a fielder taking the throw at first while outside the running lane she is out.
    The running lane starts 30' from home plate on the first base line and ends at first base. The b/r is allowed to enter fair territory one step form the base to touch it as the base is completely in fair territory.

    i have only seen that once at Cherryville this year.
    there was a time when that was the fad and they showed up many places.
    not sure if there is a reason other than increased expenses for going away from them.
