sacks, tackles, pressures are a big unit. Peppers is a better player overall, but he didn't have a better year. Given that Peppers had a huge team, and had a rushing defense that gave him opportunities, but both he and his team (in sacks per attempt) lost ground from 2009.
Plus Peppers played Carolina, which is free stats. And still finished worse.

I mean, I'm fine with it. Peppers is better. No need for perspective here. But Johnson's 2010 was almost miraculous, with no other rushers, no run defense, and a generally fucking hopeless situation.
